Himmelsstürmer Tomato Seeds
Info: The tomato `Himmelstürmer` is one of the giants among the tomato varieties and lives up to its name which means `sky rider`. The plants can grow up to 5 meters in good site conditions. Important is a well-fertilized soil and a climbing aid, or you bind the plant to a tree. The tomatoes are slender and pear-shaped with a small tip and have a delicious typical tomato flavour. They are suitable both as a salad tomato and for cooking.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. Cover the sseds only slightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
