Omars Lebanese Tomato Seeds
Info: The Omar`s Lebanese tomato is a very large beefsteak tomato that originates from the Lebanon and was brought to the USA by a student. Under optimal and warm conditions, the tomatoes can reach a weight of up to 1000 g. In this region they are somewhat smaller, but even in cool summers they still develop their fantastic flavour, which is sweet and very flavourful. The plants are disease-resistant and grow up to 2 metres in height. Due to their heavy fruits they should be well-supported.
Care: You can grow the Omar`s Lebanese tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
