Pea Shoot Serge Seeds
Info: This vining pea has been especially selected for its delicious sweet tasting shoots and tendrils. The tender and cripsy shoots and tendrils of young pea plants make a wonderful edible garnish and a perfect snack. Grow in a container for a perfect, easy-to-pick, straight from plant to kitchen, addition to salads and cooking. The plants reach a height of 75 cm.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow when the soil is warm to the touch, which will be some time between the middle of March and the end of April. Sowing depth: 4-5 cm. Peas require a sunny position with well-drained and nutrient-rich soil, but not acidic. Use bamboo canes, pea sticks, trellis, netting or chicken wire as a climbing support for the plants. Once you feel the seeds in the pod, the peas are ripe for harvest. The more you harvest, the more they will produce. As the containing sugar decomposes very quickly, they taste sweetest immediately after harvesting.
