Onion Ramata di Milano Seeds
Info: Ramata di Milano is a traditional onion variety from northern Italy. It forms barrel-shaped tubers with white, tender pulp and gold-yellow skin. The broad-leaved onions are medium in size and have excellent storage capabilities. With their mild-spicy taste, they are ideal as raw food in salads or steamed as a side dish to many meat dishes.
Sowing & cultivation: Sowing can take place from April to June. The seeds are covered with soil in a plant depth of 0,5 cm, well pressed and kept moist. After germination the seedlings can be separated. The planting distance should be 10-25cm. Sow on a loose, strong soil which is not pre-fertilized. The harvest can take place from September, as soon as the foliage has fully departed.
