Mustard spinach Komatsuna Green Boy Seeds

Info: Komatsuna is a traditional Japanese leafy vegetable that has been cultivated since the 17th century. This fast-growing, cabbage-like vegetable has dark green leaves on bright green stems. The leaves reach a height of 30cm and a width of 18cm. Komatsuna has many uses. It can be consumed steamed as a vegetable garnish, soup inlay or raw as a salad. The leafy vegetables are rich in vitamin C and calcium.

Sowing & cultivation: Sow from March to May in rows with 15cm spacing. The planting distance should be 3cm. The plants like sunny to partially shaded places and a moderately fertilized soil, which should not dry out. In autumn, a sheltered cultivation under glass or foil allows a harvest into the winter. In mild weather, Asia salads grow again within a few weeks. The mustard spinach is very fast growing and can be harvested already 14 to 30 days after sowing.
