Zimbabwe Black Chili Seeds
Info: The Zimbabwe Black Chili is an African birdseye with beautiful from purple-black to red ripening, upright growing small chillies. The leaves often have some variegation in green and purple and the purple flowers are also very beautiful. All this together creates a beautiful play of colours and is a beautiful eye-catcher on the balcony or terrace. The plants remain relatively small and can be easily cultivated in pots. The chillies are suitable for seasoning, pickling and drying and for making chilli powder.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (8 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.
