Sichuan 7 Stars Chili Seeds
Info: The Sichuan 7 Stars Chili is one of the best-known Chinese chillies, with occasional confusion about the actual meaning of the word: The Chinese call this chili "Zhi Tian Jiao". Jiao means pepper that grows upwards. The designation "7 Stars" is also program: the fruits fruits grow towards the sky in the shape of a 7-pointed star.
This chili is mild and has an interesting citrus flavour. It is a very important ingredient of the Szechuan cuisine. Use it in a marinade with limes for chili & lime spare ribs! You will love this taste!
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 30°C (germination period: 6-20 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. Place the plants outside around 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
