Hot Portugal Big Chili Seeds
Information: The Hot Portugal Big Chili has a very high yield of fruits and originally comes from Portugal. It produces large fruits up to 15cm in length and approximately 2-3cm wide with a medium level of heat. The plants are well-suited for cultivating in a pot as they do not sprawl or grow too large. An early harvest and the large number of fruits produced make this variety are a very popular recommendation for growing at home in your garden.
The peppers ripen very quickly from green to red. You can eat them whilst they are still green, but their full flavour does not fully develop until they have completely ripened. Hot Portugal Chilies are perfect for stuffing with a delicious filling, pickling, preserving or using in salads. As the peppers have a very thin outer wall, they are also well-suited to drying.
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-21 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
