Elephants Trunk Yellow Chili Seeds
Information: The Elephants Trunk Yellow Chili is a variety from India, and due to their uneven surfaces they really do look like small trunks. The plants can grow very large (up to 1.20 m) and the chilies are approx. 15 cm long, but can also reach lengths of up to 20 or 25 cm. They are juicy and flavourful and are particularly suitable for pickling or stuffing with cream cheese. They are also suitable for fresh consumption, for cooking and for grilling.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.
