Choricero de Ensartar Chili Seeds
Information: The Chorizero chili is also called Pimiento de Ensartar in the Spanish Basque Country, where it comes from. It can not be missing in any kitchen and is the basis for many sauces and dishes ofthe regional cuisine. Traditionally it is hung up in front of the houses and in the kitchens for drying, and then a paste is prepared from the dried chillies, which is used for seasoning. The chillies are elongated, red and very tasty with a slight hint of smoke and a medium heat.
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-21 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
