Aji Omnicolor Chili Seeds
Info: Aji is the common word for all kinds of chillies in South America, which mostly originate of the species Capsicum baccatum . The plants are perennial and can get very large (up to 2 metres) with good care. The Aji Omnicolor is a rather small and bushy variety reaching heights up to 90 cm.
The plants bear masses of small, pointed, elongated and erect fruits that are 1 x 4 cm in size. The pods ripen from white to yellow and orange to red. Because the pods are at different stages on the plants, this variety is bathed in a wonderful play of colors and is a real eye-catcher on the balcony or in the garden.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 22 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
