Cow Horn Chili Seeds
Info: The Cow Horn Chili gets its name from the fact that its fruits are reminiscent of cow horns. The plants are bushy, can grow up to 1 metre in height, and develop many of the very long (up to 20 cm) red peppers from the Cayenne variety. The chilies are characterised by their thin fruit walls, winding growth and sweet flavour with a medium level of spiciness. The chilies are usable in a variety of ways, and are suitable for cooking, grilling, frying, pickling, stuffing and drying.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of agreenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.
