Aji Ecuadorian Orange Chili Seeds
Info: The Aji Ecuadorian Orange Chili is from the Capsicum baccatum species. Typical for this type is the branched and protruding growth and a long flowering period with an abundant harvest. The fruits are long with a rounded tip, approx. 3 x 5 cm long, and ripen to a bright orange. They are very juicy with an excellent fruity flavour and are good for hot sauces, pickling and drying. The Aji Ecuadorian Red is very popular as a powder in Peruvian and Bolivian cuisine.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
