7 Pod Chaguanas Chocolate Chili Seeds
Information: The 7 pod chillies (also known as 7 pot chillies) are some of the hottest chillies in the world and on a same high level as the bhut jolokia or Trinidad Scorpion. It gets its name from the idea that just one pepper is enough to spice up 7 full cooking pots (pods).
The 7 Pot Chaguanas Chocolate Chili is a 7 pot variety from Trinidad (specifically the village of Chaguanas), whose pods are slightly longer and more irregularly shaped than the original 7 pot. However, they have the same fine, fruity aroma and extremely fiery pungency, some say it is even hotter than the original 7 Pot. You should always use disposable gloves when handling these chillies.
Care: Germination temperature is between 24°C and 30°C (germination period: 10-22 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. As the plants have a particularly long maturation period, it is recommended to grow them in a pot, so that you can easily bring the plant inside when the temperature falls below 12°C during the day, allowing all the fruits to ripen. To keep the plant over the winter, cut it back by 20cm after harvesting and place in a light place where it is at least 15°C.
