Peppino Chili Seeds
Info: The Peppino Chili is a beautiful heart-shaped sweet pepper with a slight spiciness which can vary from fruit to fruit. The plants remain relatively small and are most suitable for cultivation in pots, especially because they also have a high decorative value. On the plants grow heart-shaped, approx. 5 x 6 cm fruits which ripen early to a shiny red and develop a fantastic sweet flavour. They have thick fruit flesh and are suitable for fresh consumption as well as cooking, stuffing, grilling and pickling.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (8 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you plant them outdoors, the plants should have a distance between them of 45 cm.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.
