Kalocsai - Füszerpaprika Chili Seeds
Info: The Kalocsai - Füszerpaprika Chili is an old and traditional sweet pepper variety from Hungary. The pepper is generally is only offered here in powder form. However the plants are robust and resistant against many diseases, so they are particularly suitable for cultivation in this region - outdoors as well as indoors. The peppers are flavourful with a slight spiciness, and are usable in a variety of ways: for cooking, for fresh consumption, pickling and grilling. When dried they can be made into a fantastic paprika powder.
Care: The germination temperature is between 20 und 28°C (8 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.
