Hungarian Yellow Wax Sweet Chili Seeds
Info: All chili varieties belonging to the “Wax” type get their name from the wax-like surface of their fruits. The Hungarian Hot Wax Chili originates from Hungary and has a mild level of spiciness together with a flavourful taste. From their green, unripe state, the chillies undergo a pale yellow phase until they finally become an orange-red colour. The chillies are spiciest when ripe.
The up to 18 cm long, juicy-sweet fruits are usually eaten fresh and raw, but are also suitable for stuffing, pickling, grilling or for use in vegetable dishes.
Care: The germination temperature is between 20 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you plant them outdoors, the plants should have a distance between them of at least 30 cm.
