Carrot Resistafly Seeds
Info: Carrot `Resistafly` is characterized mainly by its resistance to the carrot fly, hence the name. The carrots grow cylindrically, have a bright orange colour and a sweet carrot flavour. It is harvested early - from August - and is easy to store.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow from Febuary under cloches or fleece. Can be sown outdoors as late as August. Sow them as thinly as possible, this reduces the amount of thinning necessary. Mix the seeds with a handful of sharp sand and sow the seeds and sand together. Plants should be kept well watered and carrots prefer a sandy, well-drained soil. Too much nitrogen will cause the carrots to grow hairy little roots all up and down the carrot.
