Cabbage

Formerly rather a poor people's meal, cabbage has become an indispensable part of gourmet cuisine. Whether cauliflower, broccoli, Romanesco, white cabbage, red cabbage or green cabbage, they all grow well in the garden and add healthy variety to the menu.
If you pay attention to a few things, cabbage is also easy to grow. All cabbage varieties are high nutrient-demanding plants and need a soil rich in nutrients, humus and lime. A sunny to semi-shade location is also good. With many varieties it is better to grow the seeds indoors, other varieties can stand in the garden over winter and supply you with vitamins even in the cold season. It is important that you give the soil a break of two to three years  before planting cabbage here again.
