Runner bean Ferrari Seeds
Info: Ferrari is an ancient pole bean from the highlands of Mexico. First mentions of this variety are dated to 6000 years before Christ. At the end of the 16th century she was brought to Europe. It is also known as "Fisole". This tender fillet bean forms dark green, threadless, up to 12cm long pods with white grain. The delicious pods are great as a soup, stew or salad. The variety also has high resistance to burning spots and bean mosaic virus.
Sowing & cultivation: The sowing should be about 3 cm deep. Press seeds and cover with soil. For row sowing the distance shoould be 40 cm with a grain spacing of 6 - 8 cm. When sown as a pit sowing, the distances are 30cm at 5-7 seeds per planting site. Sow the beans in humus-rich, well-drained garden soil in a warm, sheltered, sunny to partially shaded place with even moisture. If necessary, separate. The stability of the plants is improved by sowing in clumps.
