Horn Meal

For healthy and vigorous plants.

Horn meal is a quickly available and great source of nitrogen for your organic plants.
It is the standard in organic farming and thus the perfect fertilizer for all vegetables, fruits and herbs, as well as for all perennial herbs and shrubs.
For successful and healthy chili gardening, it is best to combine horn meal and our liquid organic fertilizer.

Why using horn meal?

• As organic as it gets. Organic fertilizers are the nonplus ultra for fruit, vegetable and herb cultivation.
• Fertilize only once. Fertilization is best before sowing or transplanting and lasts for about 3 months. That corresponds to the amount of time that most vegetables need to ripe.
• Fast nutrient availability. Horn meal is made from animal hooves and horns, whose proteins are broken up by a steaming process and thus made faster available for plants, in contrast to the larger, untreated horn shavings that take a long time to release their nitrogen.
• Improves soil structure. The high content of organic matter improves the humus supply and contributes to soil loosening.
• No over-fertilization. The relatively slow release rate of the nitrogen is perfectly timed with plant uptake rates. At normal application rates it will not be damaging or wasteful. There is no undesirable accumulation of phosphate and other substances. For an additional mineral supply use our liquid organic fertilizer.

Application:

Horn meal is a long-term nitrogen supply for all crops and plants. You can use it all year round.

Important: When adding to your garden as a nitrogen source, always blend it into the soil so that the microorganisms can work properly.

Outdoors: For an optimal nutrient supply blend into the soil 2-3 weeks before sowing or planting. 40-80 g / m²

Pot cultures: Mix into the soil before planting. Approx. 15-30 g per 10 liter bucket (this corresponds to 1-2 tbsp)

Post-fertilization: Only every 3 months. In the meantime with liquid bio fertilizer by irrigation water.

Content: Horn meal steamed 14% N (nitrogen), grain size: 1-3 mm, permissible for the Organic cultivation according to EC Organic Regulation
