Thyme Broad Leaved Seeds
Info: Thyme Broad Leaved - the herb for cuisine and health. Thyme is one of the classic among the Mediterranean spices. It tastes slightly peppery, piquant and at the same time lovely. First of all, thyme is used in meat dishes. Not only to gain the unmistakable aroma, but also to make it easier to digest high-fat dishes. Thyme also has many applications in the vegetarian cuisine. Fried potatoes or potato gratin can be refined with it. In addition to its use as a spice, it is also used as a medicinal plant. Its healing power has been known for many centuries. It is often used as a cough tea or a cold bath. Because of its versatility in terms of diseases and complaints, he was named 2006 as the medicinal plant of the year.
Sowing & cultivation: The seeds of the thyme are extremely fine. Such fine seed should be preferred in small pots or cultivation trays. To do this, fill the pot with a mixture of sowing earth and sand. The substrate should be slightly moistened and the seeds distributed as evenly as possible. Keep the substrate moist without drowning the seed. After two weeks, the seeds begin to germinate and should be transplanted into a larger pot after another five weeks. If no more frost is expected, the young plants can be planted from the end of May into the garden. Take a distance of about 25 x 25cm.
