Spider Flower (Cleome) Seeds
Info: The Spider Flower (Cleome spinosa) is a pretty, pink garden flower from South America. It blooms from July to October with its graceful and fluffy inflorescences, which can grow up to 100 cm high. The spider flower takes its name from the long stalked carpels that remain after withering and which remind of spider legs.
Sowing & care: Sowing starts in March under glass. Cover the seeds only thinly with soil. Transplanting takes place after the last frosts (distance 40 cm). Spider flowers need a full sunny location on a permeable soil. It survives short dry periods well, and waterlogging must be avoided. If you remove the seeds regularly, you prolong the flowering period.
