Foxglove Nativex Seeds
Info: Foxglove / Digitalis Native is one of the most stunning coloured varieties of Digitalis. Its bell-shaped pink flowers have lovely cherry red blotches in each throat; the flowers collectively create densely-packed spikes that develop from the bottom to the top. The leaves are narrow and tend to a grey green. In flower from August to September, Digitalis Native is highly recommended for garden arrangements, cut flower or flower beds.
Sowing & Cultivation: Sow undercover from March to May or sow directly outdoors in May to June or September to October. Germination usually takes 10-21 days at 15-18°C. Plant out into a permanent position in 30 x 40cm spacings from August to September. Digitalis is best suited to a shady spot and requires fertile permeable soils, which should be kept slightly moist. Freely self-seeding year after year.
