Hodonin Chili Seeds
Information: Discovered on the Czech market, Hodonin chilli is a chilli with an intense, spicy flavour that is perfect for drying. The plant grows bushy and forms a large number of red pods measuring 3 to 6 cm.
The Hodonin chilli is also ideal for sauces, with its delicious flavour and pleasant heat. In a mixture with paprika and tomato or sour cherry, this chilli also makes a fantastic chutney.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 and 28 °C (12 - 21 days germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, well-drained soil and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be placed in a full sun, sheltered spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight, preferably more. Place the plants outside at the earliest approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you cultivate the plant in a pot, you can overwinter it. To do this, you may need to cut it back a little and place it in a bright spot with a temperature of at least 15°C.
