Fireflame Chili
Information: The fruity, fiery Fireflame chilli matures from green to red, in keeping with its name, and produces long, pointed pods that glow intensely like flames. The heat of the chilli burns on the tongue and is guaranteed not to make us forget what we are eating.
Good for you to know: the Fireflame chilli is considered a high-yielding chilli variety that produces so many chillies in one season that they can also be used in sauces, for freezing, for salsa or powder. As the variety is easy to grow, it can be cultivated both in a bed and in a pot on a patio or balcony.
Care: Germination temperature is between 20°C and 25°C (germination period: 8 - 14 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. The earliest time to place the plants outside is 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If grown in plant pots, you can also take care of them through the winter. It might be necessary to cut them back slightly and place them in a light place where it is at least 15°C.
