Organic Seed 7 Pot Long LG Chili
Information: The 7 Pot Long LG is a very rare variety of chilli that ripens to an orange-red colour. Its biting heat takes your breath away. The fruits are clearly recognisable by their tapered tip and very uneven surface.
As it is native to the Caribbean, it needs a reliable and high temperature and sufficient sun to ripen. The 7 Pot Long LG feels most at home in a greenhouse or in pot culture, which is placed in a sheltered position if there is a lack of heat. The plant grows to around 100 cm tall in pots and slightly taller in a greenhouse. The mature pods are ideal for use in sauces or as a powder.
Care: Germination temperature is between 28°C and 32°C (germination period: 8 - 14 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. The earliest time to place the plants outside is 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If grown in plant pots, you can also take care of them through the winter. It might be necessary to cut them back slightly and place them in a light place where it is at least 15°C.
